BCAS Campus launches partnership with London South Bank University

BCAS Campus launched its academic partnership with London South Bank University (LSBU), United Kingdom, at a special launch and media event held on June 15, 2026 in Colombo.

The partnership marks a significant milestone in BCAS Campus’ continued efforts to expand access to internationally recognised British higher education opportunities for students ín Sri Lanka. Through this collaboration, students are able to pursue selected LSBU academic programmes through BCAS Campus, gaining access to UK higher education while studying locally. The initial academic offerings under the BCAS-LSBU partnership include the postgraduate MBA programme and undergraduate programmes in Business Management and Law. Future academic pathways are expected to expand.

The launch brought together representatives from the British High Commission, senior representatives from London South Bank University, BCAS Campus leadership, members of the BCAS Board of Governors and Board of Directors, industry leaders, education-sector stakeholders, media representatives, influencers, invited guests, and BCAS staff. The presence of Andrew Patrick, British High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, added further significance to the occasion, reflecting the importance of UK-Sri Lanka collaboration in higher education.

Representing London South Bank University are Prof. Rodney Day, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research & Innovation) and Member of the LSBU Executive Board, and Prof. Ravee Sundararajan, Associate Academic Dean, LSBU Global. BCAS Campus was represented by its senior leadership, including  Teresh Amarathunga, Chief Executive Officer, and Prof. Ruvan Abeysekara, Vice Chancellor, together with members of the institution’s governance and management teams.

The launch formally introduced the BCAS-LSBU academic partnership to key stakeholders and highlights the opportunities it creates for Sri Lankan students seeking internationally recognised qualifications with strong academic and career relevance. The collaboration further strengthens BCAS Campus’ position as a higher education institution committed to delivering globally connected academic pathways in Sri Lanka.

The event also served as a platform to engage education leaders, industry representatives, institutional partners, and media stakeholders on the future of transnational higher education, employability-focused learning, and the growing demand for accessible international qualifications in Sri Lanka.
