JXG feted at CA Sri Lanka 60th anniversary TAGS Awards
Janashakthi Finance PLC, a member of JXG (Janashakthi Group) has been recognised with multiple accolades at the CA Sri Lanka 60th Anniversary TAGS Awards 2025 (Transparency, Accountability, Governance and Sustainability), reaffirming its strong commitment to corporate governance, transparency and high standards of corporate reporting.
The 60th Anniversary ‘Diamond Chapter’ of the TAGS Awards ceremony was held recently at Shangri-La, Colombo. Organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) and supported by the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE), the TAGS Awards mark six decades of excellence in financial and non-financial reporting, recognising organisations that demonstrate best-in-class disclosure practices.
At the 2025 awards, Janashakthi Finance PLC received a Certificate of Recognition for Corporate Governance Disclosure (Financial Services Special Award Category), a Certificate of Recognition for Integrated Reporting, and a Bronze Award in the Finance Companies & Leasing Companies (Group Assets LKR 25–75 Billion) Sector Category.
These recognitions, awarded by CA Sri Lanka, reflect the credibility and rigour of the evaluation process and reinforce Janashakthi Finance’s position as a responsible and well-governed financial institution within Sri Lanka’s finance and leasing sector. The awards were conferred for the Company’s most recent Annual Report,which serves as a comprehensive communication tool detailing the Company’s financial performance, governance framework, risk management practices, sustainability initiatives, and approach to long-term value creation. The report stands out for its strong emphasis on corporate governance disclosure tailored specifically to the financial services sector, presenting clear insights into governance structures, internal controls, and decision-making processes.
The integrated presentation of financial and non-financial information demonstrates how governance supports sustainable performance and strategic growth, while aligning with regulatory requirements, evolving stakeholder expectations, and global best practices in reporting.
