Anka Technologies Empowers 77 Young Innovators from Asian Grammar School Through STEM Skills Certification Program

In celebration of International STEM Day, Anka Technologies proudly announced the successful completion of the STEM Skills Certification Program – Level 1 at Asian Grammar School, Colombo, where 77 students were awarded the Anka Technologies Level 1 STEM Skills Certificate in recognition of their dedication and achievement.

This milestone marks an important step in the students’ journey toward earning the prestigious STEM.org Endorsed™ Exemplary Student Certificate, which will be conferred upon the completion of all five program levels under the global framework of STEM.org Educational Research™ (USA).

The Level 1 program enrolled 80 students from Grades 3, 4, and 5, with 34, 24, and 17 participants respectively. Over the course of approximately 20 interactive sessions, students explored a rich blend of Science, Mathematics, Coding, Canva Design, and Basic Electronics, building a solid foundation for deeper exploration in higher levels of STEM learning.

Each session was crafted to spark curiosity and creativity, transforming traditional classrooms into spaces for exploration and innovation. Students conducted simple science experiments, created animations and stories using ScratchJr, and built circuits with Brainbox kits, discovering how theory connects to the real world.

These hands-on experiences encouraged problem-solving, innovation, and logical thinking – essential skills for thriving in today’s technology-driven era.

Student understanding was assessed through the STEM Skills Reflection Form, a unique evaluation tool designed by Anka Technologies for each grade level. The form incorporated puzzles, creative challenges, and activity-based questions covering all five subject areas, allowing educators to assess both knowledge and imaginative application.

Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive. Many expressed their enthusiasm for learning through practical activities, with several students noting a newfound passion for engineering, robotics, and scientific discovery.

The STEM Skills Certification Program by Anka Technologies provides a structured five-level pathway that gradually advances students’ competencies in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, alongside emerging disciplines such as Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science.

Upon completion of all five levels, students will qualify for the STEM.org Endorsed™ Exemplary Student Certificate, an internationally recognized credential for excellence in STEM learning. Each level is designed to cultivate creativity, innovation, collaboration, and critical thinking, preparing students to become the inventors and problem-solvers of tomorrow.
