Binance celebrates 8th anniversary with spectacular community meetup in Colombo

In honour of its 8th anniversary, Binance, the global cryptocurrency exchange hosted a celebratory community meetup on the 14th of July 2025, at Shangri-La Colombo. The event was attended by over 300 members of the      ever evolving Binance community, who celebrated both the platform and its deepening engagement with the community. 

Established on the 14th of July 2017, Binance has evolved into one of the world’s most recognizable names in Web3 and Blockchain. Today, its commitment has grown beyond mere trading volumes. At the heart of the 8th year anniversary celebrations was the focus on the people, users, believers and the builders of the Binance community.

Today, Binance is trusted by over 280 million users across 100+ countries. With $125 trillion in cumulative trading volume, $50 billion in earnings and savings via Binance Earn, and $230 billion transacted through Binance Pay, these milestones represent more than just numbers — they reflect the trust and participation of a vibrant global community     .

In an effort to foster camaraderie and connection between those in attendance, the festivities of the evening included a host of interactive games, activities and prizes. The event was made possible with the support of the ‘Binance Angels’, who are a dedicated group of volunteers who work closely with Binance to drive adoption and engagement at grassroot level.
