Winners of ‘DIMO Wishwasaya Wasiya’ rewarded with prizes worth over Rs.10 million
DIMO, a leading diversified conglomerate in Sri Lanka, presented two LOVOL harvesters to Mr. P. G. D. F. Piyarathne from Nuwaragala and Mr. D. A. Senarathna from Galenbindunuwewa, who were the lucky grand prize winners of the ‘DIMO Wishwasaya Wasiya’ raffle draw, DIMO’s revolutionary initiative offering grand prizes worth over Rs. 10 million.
Company introduced ‘DIMO Wishwasaya Wasiya’, which gives the meaning of ‘The Benefit of DIMO Trust’, to the local agriculture industry during the last Maha season, which was warmly embraced by the farming community. As a company that is at the forefront of facilitating agriculture mechanization in Sri Lanka, DIMO introduced this draw, furthering its commitment to empowering the farming community. Farmers who purchased either the Mahindra or Swaraj tractors between the 1st of August 2021 and the 31st of December 2021 were eligible for this raffle draw. The draw was held under the purview of necessary government authorities and livestreamed on Facebook, expanding the viewership.
One of the lucky winners, Mr. D. A. Senarathna said, “For a long time, I had to rent machines to work on the fields. So, I thought I should buy a Mahindra tractor due to its high reputation amongst the farming community, which led me to being a winner of this raffle draw. I cannot explain how happy I am to win a harvester of my own, because it does not just benefit me but my hometown as well. I encourage everyone to purchase a Mahindra tractor from DIMO and avail themselves to endless possibilities that it will bring.”
The other lucky winner, Mr. P. G. D. F. Piyarathne said, “I have been using a Swaraj tractor for about 8 months and I am happy to have won the harvester. The Swaraj tractor is very useful in my day-to-day work and these tractors are widely used in our province. I would like to thank DIMO for supporting the farming community with experiences similar to this.”
